Warehouse Order Selector

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Entry level order picking position.
• Leading into performing other warehouse activities such as put-aways, letdowns, loading, shipping/receiving, inventory, and also possible management opportunities.
• Learn to safely operate material handling equipment including pallet jacks, reach trucks and counterbalance machines (training provided).
• In house training and post secondary education plans are available.
• Repetitive heavy lifting: between 5 - 80 lbs (average weight - 25 lbs).
• Option of MSP coverage at 1000 hours, and Health Care Spending account at 2000.
• Weekend work required.
• Starting wage of $12.95 per hour, according to the Collective Agreement.
• Refrigerated and freezer environments at the new Langley location.
• Dry goods facility in Langley.
• NO bus access at either Langley location.

Qualifications:

• We are looking for enthusiastic, dependable people who enjoy a high paced, repetitive environment, who want to be part of a team.
• Weekend work and steel toed shoes are required.

Customer Order Clerks

No Current Positions Available. Applications will be kept on file for a minimum of 3 months.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Preparing and creating documentation including orders, warehouse and delivery receipts, invoices, appointments, and reports.
• Data entry, with use of Excel and Word at the intermediate level.
• Strict deadlines are the standard.
• Interaction with floor staff, truckers, and supervisors.
• Other general office duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Strong computer skills including Word and Excel.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communications skills required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible shift and early morning starts.
• Starting wage of $12.76 per hour.

Warehouse Supervisor

No Current Positions Available. Applications will be kept on file for a minimum of 3 months.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the daily planning and execution of warehouse operations across multiple shifts within an almost 500,000 square foot dedicated customer facility;
• Responsible for the welfare and leadership of a group of employees to ensure safe, productive and efficient operations with all shifts;
• Monitor accuracy of employee task completion, paper work and data entry;
• Daily briefings with employees to review objectives, service levels, productivity targets and the allocation of duties;
• Assist with scheduling, and monitoring of all warehouse personnel;
• Assist with the recruitment, orientation and training of warehouse employees;
• Actively participate in continuous improvement and customer partnering initiatives;
• Ensure awareness of and enforce compliance with operations health and safety standards, company operational policies and procedures;
• Ensure safe and efficient use of all mechanical equipment;
• Ensure smooth flow of processes to ensure productivity targets are achieved;
• Maintenance of site sanitation to the highest levels;
• Performance feedback and ongoing evaluation of staff;
• Manage employees through motivation and progressive discipline;
• Responsible to assist with special projects as assigned;
• Other duties as assigned;

Qualifications:

• High school supplemented with post-secondary education;
• Exposure to contemporary WMS and radio frequency technology would be an advantage;
• Minimum of three to five years in an supervisory position; experience within a union environment would be an asset;
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written form;
• Proven effective management skills in leadership, supervision, teamwork motivation, customer orientation, and planning;
• Proficiency with Windows based computer applications would be an advantage.
